Bringing the

Good News

The Mission of St. Stanislaus Parish is to perpetuate the message of Jesus Christ, which is to worship God and to bring the Good News of God’s unconditional love to his people.  We, therefore, commit our time, talents, and treasures to the love and service of all people by proclaiming and witnessing to the word of God through prayer and sacraments, evangelization, education, social action and outreach.

St. Stanislaus

BISHOP & MARTYR

St. Stanislaus of Krakow, cannonized in 1253, is the Patron Saint of soldiers in battle, Poland and our Parish. Stanislaus was born of noble parents on July 26th at Szczepanow near Krakow, Poland. He was ordaned Bishop of Krakow in 1071, a fiery preacher against sinful living regardless of class. St. Stanislaus was martyred during mass by King Boleslaus the Cruel after excommunicating him for war crimes and attempted theft of Church land. After losing power, King Boleslaus joined the monastic life out of the guilt he bore for his many crimes.

St. Stanislaus’s Feast Day is April 11th.

"Father,
to honor you, Saint Stanislaus
faced martyrdom with courage.
Keep us strong and loyal
in our faith until death.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen."
